About Me

I was born in Omaha, Nebraska but grew-up in Sacramento, California and then Duluth Minnesota. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Sciences with an emphasis in Turf Management in 1998.

My first job in golf was working as a caddy at Northland Country Club in Duluth when I was in high School. Even though I always enjoyed being outside, I never thought that I could have a career working on a golf course. After my sophomore year at UN-L, I put in an application with the City of Lincoln and was called to interview with the Superintendent at one of the municipal courses owned by the city. I was hired to work at Pioneer Park Golf Course and at the end of my first day I was hooked on the job!

Since then, I have been fortunate to have worked at some great golf facilities and learned from some great Golf Course Superintendents. Not only that, but my experiences have taken me across the Midwest so I have seen and worked in many different climates. Courses I have worked at include:
• The Country Club of Lincoln, Lincoln, NE – Student Intern
• The Aspen Glen Club, Carbondale, CO – Assistant Superintendent
• Wayzata Country Club, Minneapolis, MN – Assistant Superintendent
• Kearney Country Club, Kearney, NE – Golf Course Superintendent

I have been the Golf Course Superintendent at Lawrence Country Club since 2008 and I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to oversee this facility. The rich history of LCC is something I am always conscious of and appreciate.

On a more personal side, I have been married to my wife Billie Jo since 1997 and we have two great kids, Caylee and Cameron. We love to hang out at the house and watch Husker football and Jayhawk basketball games. When time allows, we also enjoy playing golf at LCC and spending time at the pool.
